Sacred Harmony Reflections from Native Artists

Join us for an evening with the curator of the GROUNDED exhibition, celebrated Northern Arapaho artist Robert Martinez, and participating Eastern Shoshone artist Talissa Abeyta, as they share about their artistic practice, and the influences and inspirations that have shaped their creative work, highlighting what our world can learn from Native American culture, heritage and sacred traditions. Bishop Paul-Gordon Chandler will emcee the evening.
Associated programing for GROUNDED – a touring exhibition of contemporary artists from Indigenous American tribes traditionally based in and around the Great Plains, curated with the aim of restoring our world through a sacred harmony with the earth and each other. This multi-year international tour will begin in Lander, Wyoming on October 2, 2022 at the Fremont County Pioneer Museum.
